Lutheran Episcopal Campus Ministry at UMBC with Bishop Bill Gohl,
ELCA Maryland-Delaware Synod
Radical Hospitality is the commitment to serving those on the margins of society. How do we as Christians live into Jesus’ commitment to serving those who the status quo, our justice system, and even other faith traditions have?
Our partnership with the Episcopal Lutheran Campus Ministries of Baltimore seeks to answer these questions, one service project, one mission trip at a time. At Towson, UMBC and Morgan State, our chaplains are working together across denominations to give college students from across the country an outlet to explore their beliefs and wrestle with the challenges and uncertainties that faith brings in a changing world.
Young adults today do not want theology without impact, words without action. Our campus ministry programs give these youth the means to serve others through local outreach and alternative spring breaks, putting their passion for helping others into action. To read about their experiences firsthand, check the links below to last semester’s mission trip to the Deep South.
While you’re here, consider giving a gift to share Jesus’ radical hospitality to the world. Your support will prepare the next generation of leaders as they carry his unconditional love beyond church and campus doors. Thank you!
