New Beginnings feels like home. It’s where I met my diocesan family. It’s where I started my youth retreat journey and it’s where that journey ended. I’ve been asked a few times now to talk about what New Beginnings means to me and I don’t really know how to answer that question. I don’t know how to tell you what it means to me because I’m not sure that I really know. But it feels like home.

When I think about it I think about hugs, and singing, and friendships, and a beautiful view. It’s a place where I feel safe, and loved, and accepted. It’s helped me find God in myself and in my loved ones. Even when I knew nobody there, they were all my friends. When I think about going to New Beginnings, I think about going home.
