Bishop Sutton prepares his message of thanks for All Saints’ Day.

The programs of the Bishop’s Annual Appeal and other ministries of the Diocese of Maryland point to the heart of four things that Jesus said were the hallmark of his ministry:

  1. To bring good news to the poor.
  2. To proclaim release to the captives.
  3. To recover sight to the blind.
  4. To let oppressed go free.

The Right Rev. Eugene Taylor Sutton, Bishop of Maryland; Ms. Betsy Bannat, Chair, Planned Giving Task Force; and Ms. Kathy Grayson, Director of Development, thank contributors to the programs of the Bishop’s Appeal, to their congregations, to the Claggett Center and to the Sutton Scholars┬« High School Enrichment Program. On All Saints Day, enjoy this brief service of thanksgiving and recognition. The Diocese of Maryland is grateful to all who contribute to its outreach programs of shared ministry. We are a community of love.
