Happy Earth Day! 🌏

We are pleased to offer you special series of videos in collaboration with the Delaware-Maryland Synod ELCA. This series is called Connected in God’s Creation and is grounded in the principles of the Earth Charter.

When we say Earth Day or Creation Care or Stewardship of the Earth, we mean the earth and ALL that is in it, especially all of God’s children. We deserve to live together in beloved community, the dream of God. The Episcopal Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and other denominations in the Central Maryland Ecuemnical Council (CMEC) and across the globe subscribe to the four pillars of the Earth Charter, which this video series addresses: 1) Community Care and Respect, 2) Ecological Justice, 3) Social and Racial Justice and 4) Peace and Nonviolence.

These videos are a wonderful tool to use in your Christian Formation classes or in community groups. Use them as an education series, in personal devotion, Bible study – be creative! Each video is less than 45 minutes and contains moments throughout to explore, go deeper, and consider how the concepts presented influence our faith and work as Disciples of Christ.

You can the videos in the series on the Delaware-Maryland Synod ELCA website below. Many thanks to our wonderful partners in the Synod for making these videos available!

Many thanks to Alan Yarborough of The Episcopal Public Policy Network and the Gary Gillespie and Dell Hinton of the CMEC Council for contributing the material for two of the videos in the series.
